In the cucurbit group, this perennial vine has a unique conical trunk which is thick, brownish-green, and lumpy reminiscent of a cone shaped candle oozing melting wax or a spewing volcano. Native to Kenya, this deciduous plant goes dormant in winter. A spring to summertime vine emerges from the unusual caudex producing pale yellow flowers followed by orange fruit.
Available in 4 or 6 inch pots.
