From the mountains of Ankarana, Madagascar.
A member of the Sterculiaceae family which has been recently lumped into the Malvaceae (Mallow, Hibiscus).
Hildegardia ankarensis is a magnificent pachycaul caudiciform tree with long petiolate leaves and odd tubular flowers of brilliant orange.
We have seedlings about three feet tall.
Available in 4 inch pots.
