Pachypodium rutenbergianum var. sofiense

NW Madagasgar.

Seemingly the smallest growing variety of the three forms of rutenbergianum.

The most noticeable difference of this variety is the cigar shaped pachycaul trunk it produces at a much younger age. Also, the flowers are tubular as opposed  to the short and flat flowers of the other forms.

The rutenbergianum varieties may be the fastest growing Pachypodiums evident here as the photos included of the 4" pot sized seedlings  are a mere three months old as of 9/19/22.

4" pots available.

Ships in pot.
