From Namibia, South Africa and also known as the Herero Sesame Tree.

A caudiciform tree or shrub with white papery bark and contrasting stiff silvery- green foliage that has white coating over the entire leaf. Several small thorns are produced at each leaf node. 

The flowers are yellow and trumpet shaped resembling sesame flowers, hence its nickname. If pollinated, the flowers produce strangely shaped capsules (seed pods)
